We are a husband and wife team!

My name is Bethany Mace, and my husband, Cody, and I run First Aid Appliance Service here in Morganton. If you’ve called the office this year, you’ve spoken to me! If you’ve scheduled a repair, you’ve met Cody!

I’m a South Asheville native. I graduated from T.C. Roberson High School in 2010 and Western Carolina University in 2014. I later went back to trade school and started my own business in 2017. I met Cody in September of 2020 and moved to his hometown—beautiful Morganton—with him and his two-year-old son, commuting to Asheville and back every day to run my business. We got married in 2023 and welcomed our beautiful baby girl in December of 2024. I closed my seven-year business in Asheville this past January to join forces with Cody and help with his ever-growing appliance repair business. When you call First Aid Appliance Service, you don’t speak to AI—you speak to me, every time!

Cody’s family has lived in Burke County for generations. He graduated from Patton High School in 2012 and has always loved mechanics and fixing things. After exploring different endeavors, in 2017 he found his calling in appliance repair and took to it like a moth to a flame. He started First Aid Appliance Service in 2023. Cody loves helping people and giving back whenever he can. His moral standards and unwavering integrity have driven him to where he is today. He stays up to date on new appliances and training—he’s definitely an expert in this field and will always be honest with you 100% of the time, even if that means we lose a job.

We truly care. It’s important to have someone you trust working on your appliances and in your home, and that’s what makes us the team you’ll want to call when something stops working perfectly.

Morganton is Cody’s home and has become mine. It’s not only where we run our business, but also where we’ve chosen to raise our babies. We work in all surrounding counties and most of WNC.


We’ve spent the last 2 years shaping First Aid Appliance Service into what it is today. We actually won best of Burke this year, and became proud members of the Burke County Chamber of Commerce! We’re still steadily growing, and we couldn’t be successful without the support of our amazing community.

Fresh for spring

While we offer Winterization, you will also need someone to follow up in the spring to open your outdoor kitchen. We will make sure you are ready for any family event or cookout!

Trip Charge

There is a nonrefundable trip charge for diagnostic visits. The trip charge covers a tech coming out, diagnosing, and repairing (if possible) while there. Trip charges vary upon location. Call for a diagnostic quote today!

All trip charges are based on a 50 mile radius of Morganton NC, 28655.
